00:03 My name is Mark Loranger. I am 52 today is October 30th 2013 where in Los Angeles and I'm talking to my friend Jimmy who is I client of Chrysalis the nonprofit organization that I run?

00:22 I am Jimmy Goring my age is 47 today is the 30th of October. We are in Downtown LA and my relationship at 2 Mark is I'm an alumni at a program to the runs.

00:41 Great wealth and first of all Jimmy. Thanks a lot for agreeing to do this today. It's it's always great for me to have a chance to talk to somebody's been through a program in and talk about some of the experiences. They've had and what you've gone through in a personal growth, but maybe we can start a little bit back at the beginning. Where whereabouts. Did you grow up? I grew up in a town called Lynwood in LA.

01:06 Not as good as it used to be by The Shirelles neighborhood and was how was your your family situation when you grow up my mom and dad separated the young very I was a very young age. I don't even remember them being together very much. My dad is live down the street and it was rough. He was a hard worker and my mom was a hard worker and I didn't get along too good when I was a kid and my mom passed away 13 years ago in 2009 dad's been remarried and I have a really blessed mother that loves me. They took me in.

01:48 When I was young my dad's wife and she's been a blessing to have them back in my life. Yeah, I can imagine that's that's really tough when you're growing up and then there's tension in the family in and things aren't that that storybook that we might have seen on TV when we were growing up right Ozzie and Harriet and the family and all that if that doesn't sound like that was the environment you grew up in I start to get in trouble. A young age. So started doing missing school and not being a descendant my mom and dad would want me to be so I kind of walked out of their life's and began my life of

02:29 Mischievous devious and anything negative to was out there. I had to go find it and seek it out to find what is about

02:37 Where do you where do you think that Curiosity came for on or that rebellious nature word where that come from hardheadedness stubbornness stupidity.

02:49 But I thought it was time to grow up. I had to change my found out later. I needed to change. Being dead or in prison for the rest of my life. When was the first time you you had a run-in with the law?

03:02 Stink bomb

03:05 We're throwing Tomatoes at the cars. They went by when I was like 10, I think and

03:12 When Carl just happen to be a police car and go bad move. Yeah, we proceeded to tomatoes did you know there's a police car at the time we were in the back of this big truck and head cardboard. So there's like five of us and we'd start checking it over in the cars and it happened to be a police officer any stopping dug up into the back of the truck and we are underneath cardboard e Douglas out is pretty hilarious until we got home, It was not hilarious in I think I still hurt from that. I like 10 years old 40 years ago. So your dad took it to you on that one or both of them. Yes, Dad and Mom both. Yeah. Yeah. I got it got it from one and then thought I was going to get away from it and went to the other ones house and got it from there to sew a stupid double barrel. Yeah, I didn't work out too good for me. So when you think about those those early years when you were growing up and up up until say you were a teenager, who'd you say was the biggest influence in your life either?

04:12 Leader bad

04:19 The biggest influence my I see my brother Johnny. He's always had the

04:25 The

04:27 I don't know what the word is yet these but it still he was at my closest brother when I was growing up. I don't know how what's the age difference between you and Johnny 3 years older than me and he just always been a baseball. He's got good grades, and I was just opposite. I ate a baseball and never got good grades. So I always looked up to him when I was growing up.

04:50 Then I don't know something changed later on in life to her. It's just I just had to go out and Venture onto my own and find out what the world was so I ran away and went back my way back a few times.

05:07 That really doesn't work out too good at all for anybody ever hurt your parents hurt your family to hurt you. What was the how old were you when you when you first took one of those Adventures?

05:21 10 maybe I was young I am.

05:27 I don't know. I just had a rough. I had a rough time understanding why people tell me what to do back then and you know, I could date go out and do things that I couldn't do in.

05:37 Stuff like that. Did you feel some competition with your brother? He's got good grades and baseball and all that kind of stuff. And yes, but life is not a competition is about making your mother and father proud when they lookin do you mean they did when they look at you you could hold your head up high to them and they can hold their height Head Up by about you and say great things and this is you know be proud to say this is my son not well by sons over here in this place, which is a good place, but I when I was

06:16 I'm not the person I am today. I would I ventured out for 20 years and I got into lots of trouble.

06:25 Just drugs and I mean just everything that I could do wrong. I probably did wrong in my life and did time for it. But I know better now on this day today and did I don't need to be somebody that I'm not be myself and I'm fine be honest and

06:47 What was what was that that switch that flipped for you from the life that you were just talking about that wasn't so positive and you were just getting in trouble constantly something flipped. What was it for you this last term I did as a violation for

07:04 Think there's a gun charge in and

07:08 Because get him off my wife and her boyfriend or something and I had a guy and a shovel some beanies and gloves in the back of my truck back my suburban and I just was going to kind I just get him out of the picture somehow someway and I had it all figured out. I did. Well I got caught up in Lake Elsinore in

07:29 Got a violation because I'm high control. I couldn't go 50 miles out of my area and they caught me with a

07:37 The bunch of counties you were on your on parole already and your parole order said you could not be more than 50 miles from your check in location or whatever, right? So, yeah, I got you on a technical violation. It sounds like it was a good thing. They did. I did a year and another year in prison on top of the multiple terms Ivan violations, and I already did and I got a letter from my mom and dad saying that we don't need you in our life cuz all you until you straighten out your stuff.

08:09 Get get get your mind right and get right and we'll be glad to have you around but don't come around. If you are like you are when you went in there and that snapped. They died. He was crushed. I didn't know how to take that in after I ate I just got him back in my life after 20 years and that's why I didn't want to lose them. I guess that's the greatest my mom and dad are the greatest thing that I mean did my life one of the greatest things besides my kids and my job and just a freedom. I have today's you know, the God that I have of my understanding which is Jesus Christ is

08:45 Bless me in every possible way that he did. I could be blessed. I'm happy enough. Look over my shoulders. I got a good job. I have all of my family back in my life minus one that I got married to a church. That's her preference. So and that's my preference now. It's cuz she made it that way. But with that being said, it's been a journey to get where I'm at. And to do what I do is

09:12 I don't even know how that I Came Upon the knowledge that I have to do to carry out my job, but Christmas is his show me how to do resumes how to talk to people how to think differently in the homeboys Industries. They put me to school. Let me have the opportunity to learn.

09:37 Tarte Foundation is showed me a new way to think in that way to live and I'm grateful to all three of them foundations and and

09:49 To God for putting patients in me in the knowledge that I need to eat to live.

09:56 In a different way that I've never lived before I never lived a life that I'm living like now today. I mean my boss trusts me with credit cards and Don jobs. There were x amount of dollars that I don't even know how much did and he looks me my eyes. So what are you got going today? He doesn't tell me go out and do this go to the he's what are you guys doing today? So my boss putting that much trust in me. I got to shine from Teen. I got to look him in his eyes and tell him I want to see when he asked me honestly. I got to tell Massey.

10:28 So and honestly wasn't one of my hire.

10:32 One of my priority things when I was growing up. It was like just the opposite if I could get away with somebody get away with it now today.

10:40 I look back in his eyes to my mother my father. My my kids are growing up.

10:46 And tell them how it is tell him what it is. Tell me what it's about, you know explain stuff and I've never I've been short on Words and in my temper and very short. I thought I could fix everything with my hands, but that's not the way life goes south. What is it? Sounds like you made you made a huge leap in professional and personal growth just in terms of realizing where you been all that wasn't working for you and in you need to go in a different direction and then there was that that parole violation intervention that that last year you spent in the system. Was there somebody or something while you were in prison that last time that help you work on that or was it not until you got out that you got connected with Claire and Chrysalis and homeboy that it really start to come together right lat read the Bible lot and had that been part of your life before or is it just something you turn to cuz there was nothing else left for you to turn to.

11:46 God is always there for everybody. Just got to make the transition to whether it's either all in or not at all. He you're not going to stand on a fence on one leg for too long, you know, so I got baptized 6 years ago and I

11:59 Starting to go to church and I've always once I started doing time when I was younger. I picked up the Bible a few times and and now I'm daily prayer. I pray everyday. I mean no matter what time of day. It doesn't matter as long as you're talking to him and and

12:19 Doing taking a step forward. No, huge step just baby steps you're going to get to where you want to be. No matter what it is. You could do it. You could conquer your goals make little goals. At first. You don't think you do either take one little step towards that each day and after you're at the end of the week and you got you'll be surprised what you can get done.

12:39 I know that from experience because I've never had goals in my life getting through that day was survival to me and now it's just like I got this year's goal. Next year's goal the year after that school's I got goes on top of goals that I just take a little step if I think it's too big.

12:59 A little step. I'm going to get it. What is a what is a gold do for you in terms of how you run your life. If you didn't have a goal like it sounds like you didn't do that thinking before and now you do what's the difference in your stress level or the way that you look at the world when you have goals you can't just think if you can't be overwhelmed you just have to set a pace that you're comfortable with and work towards it or towards it each other what it is a weekly paycheck. Okay when I get a weekly paycheck, so I got to have a job. So I need to go look for that job. I need some training to go get that training. You have to step forward. You have to get into a place like Christmas. If you have a a habit, you have to go get rid of that habit at Clare Foundation. If you have you want to get schooling you have to go to school in yet wherever you whatever field you want to get at.

13:59 She doing so you have to get on the bus. You have to walk. You have to open doors knock on doors. You have to ask people to get direction. It's it's a journey and no life. Look at it like everyday my journey has just begun because I'm at where I want to be right now, but I know that there's still a top-level to where I could be. I mean, I could be a much better place, but I am blessed to be where I am today in the shortest time that I done it in.

14:29 And the opportunities it has

14:32 President didn't like my boss. He's seems to be really happy and I'm happy. I'm more than happy. I'm just know that my blessings are just tremendous today and doing what I do. Let's let's talk a little bit about what holding the job for you means cuz it it sounds like until you you got done with that other part of your life and done with the prison side and some of those other behaviors and wants a positive. Now, you're holding up a pretty big job and we'll talk about this specific job in a second but the have a job for you. What is that? What is that mean to you?

15:09 You can hold your head up high and support your kids. You could have a place to be everyday with my old life. I'd have a place to be everyday or wherever I was where I was I got people relying on me. I could just pay check means hot. I mean compared to no paycheck at all or maybe a dollar or two or maybe 500 a day and then the next month.

15:34 Retard you mean it just having somebody to rely on me and trust me with what they trust me with no matter if it's a bag of chips or a bag of money or whatever it is. They trust their trusted me gives me pride in my life today. And so you you eventually came across so she went to Claire work their program. They suggest you to come to Chrysalis to start working on the employment side of things and it was a requirement in Clare has got it and you had to end so when you first came in were you thinking out alright, whatever I'll go do it cuz they told me I got to do it was that the attitude or did you get it that I got to get on the bypass when I put myself in the car Foundation. I needed to change. I knew I need to change. My Pro agent said I didn't have to go there. What are you doing?

16:26 I tried every other thing. I retired every Avenue that I can possibly retire. So I don't know what be God or myself some just snapped in me that said that I have to learn to live a different life because the old one is not working for me has not worked for me so shipping to ship out. So I had to get in and learn how to deal with angry how to deal with employment how to deal with know how to deal with rejection how to deal with family how to cope coping skills Christmas and and Claire and how to be responsible how to show up someplace at a given time everyday.

17:09 I had to otherwise I wouldn't never make it. I mean and it sounds like a lot of those behaviors were new to you or at least different from what your previous 20 years have been like yes different. Yes. It is. Definitely to say the least.

17:41 I used to sell a lot of drugs and illegal. I have went onto into illegal activities to Beyond most normal people. I mean I went to to the fullest of

17:55 Whatever I did and it was it was self destruct mode. I mean I did until I got busted and as much as much as I could get of it, I would get rid of it as much as I could do I do it and

18:10 It was just a part of my life is behind me now. So I'm really not want to go into that. And I thank God that I have the knowledge to stay away from what I have to stay away. Otherwise, I'm going in the back in prison again, so that part of my life is like a black area and I

18:29 I prefer not to go over too much of it. But whatever I get my hands on. I just refilled it and made money. That way I made a living at it on a high skill level like large amounts of everything was not a very I ruined people's life for that part of my life, you know, so it sounds like you were making a living doing it. I mean you were pretty comfortable. If you look at the standards of I got cash. I got things you were able to I had a car lot on 52 cars at one time a run a successful business for like seven eight years, but it didn't last because of doing what I was doing. Nothing less that part didn't last doing what I do now it will last forever.

19:16 So it sounds like there was a pattern of behavior that you would build something up and then lose it because it if you would take it to the extreme that's another dark area. So when when you start talking to Emily who I think was your case manager Chrysalis what types of things did you have to work on with her and with the other people at that Chrysalis to help you understand if I'm going to hold a job if I'm going to be serious about having a career hear the kind of things I need to I need to focus on they have classes like hourly classes or two hour classes that you take like

20:00 Behind the bars ex-con being let out into after doing a stretch of time and dealing with interviews. Let's talk about that that putting the bars behind you think a little bit that class and but just in general what that's like so you're an ex-con you check the box on an application that you got a felony or misdemeanor or whatever the mix happens to be. How does that affect your ability to find work?

20:30 It's a big red flag If an employer sees most employees my employer has open mind and when you go apply my advice to the next guy is throw your cards on the table.

20:46 And be honest look him in his eyes and if they have a question answered if they're going to hire you.

20:52 Open minded people will give you a chance and there's they're far enough you my boss's I mean, he's like a guardian angel in my life or he's done.

21:05 Stuff and he's helped me change my life my way I think way of thinking.

21:11 110% he's been a a

21:15 I mean, I can't even Praise Him high enough because he's

21:18 Been there he's there and he'll be there for the rest of my life. Even if someday God forbid. This doesn't work out I think for a number will be in my life. He's he's a mentor for you for sure. Sounds like

21:32 Episode to get back into work. I know you had some experience doing construction at some point your life right type of phase of construction. I think I've touched touched it. What is it about construction that you like? I'm good with my hands. I could figure stuff out I could build just about anything there is to build but it sounds like you're also pretty good with managing people because the the businesses in the other things that you built up that got you in trouble. They all involve people there. Just maybe not for the best purpose. I'm a yeah, I can just deal with about anybody that I have to deal with if they're rude at their I mean,

22:16 I could be rude to but I prefer not to be killing with kindness is the best policy at that I could think of and if you know.

22:25 I don't you don't let him issues or situations get out of hand. If you keep it. You keep it controlled at all cost in do you have to I have to in the business and I'm in

22:39 It's wasn't something that you just came naturally to me. I didn't ever have to.

22:45 Really get out of hand with anybody. Thank God. So I just repetitive doing stuff repetitively dealing with different customers dealing with your boss doing with your secretary's your account into everything all that is like all totally new to me. So it I just fell in like I'm not the best at a time far from but I'm learning I watch people that I admire and in this business world now and just learn to keep your mouth shut your eyes open you learn a lot more than if you're running your mouth all the time. So we get that first job. You needed stuff, right? Yes some material stuff when I got out of prison. I had nothing I went to Claire with

23:30 Two pair under wears a pair of shorts prison shoes and a shirt on my back. So I was zeroed out to zero and no cash. Cuz I was all gone ride you'd like I had a couple hundred dollars to give you gate. It's called gate money and

23:46 I bought a phone when I got out and

23:49 I heard about Clare Foundation. Then I heard about Christmas then I heard about homeboys and that's the steps. I took star Foundation Christmas and homeboys and I went to the fullest I made if I had to do double classes in Christmas Behind Bars computer classes. I wasn't real computers Lobby. So I took Advanced Computer. I took a computers in Advanced Computers and there's people that in there will stop doing what they're doing and come and say your if you ask for help them stop doing what they're doing and come and help you regardless of what they're doing numerous times. I've asked Emily. Hey, can you review this? Can can you look at this and tell me what you think or I'm having problems with this? Hey, I need these clothes to wear and all the way down to I need bus tokens to get to school. I need clothes for this interview and Emily is just she's an angel in my

24:50 Babe in my life. She has to be an angel cuz no one person would go to extension. She went to

24:57 To help like she help me. I just

25:02 I think her to the fullest cuz she's awesome. Cuz she's awesome lady. She was great and you needed some tools, right? Yes. So how's that working in the construction trade in the construction industry. We use tools every day whether it be a tape measure a pencil saws drills, if you're going to get anything done. You got to have the proper tooling and you got to provide and that's just the way it works wraps. Do you have to provide to get a decent-paying job?

25:34 The person that I was that, you know, what you want to hire convicts really, you know, if a convict shows up on job with his tools and his nail bags and knowing what's going on. You know what there's a bigger percentage of a chance that that boss is going to go. Okay. This guy at least has his own tools, at least he's clean and he shows up on time. The tools are a major major playing a role for us getting jobs. If who did who's going to hire a guy that shows up with tools and their hands or a guy?

26:07 You know comes in with no tools with no resume with no with very little to offer or the guy that has maybe a little bit to offer but it's like a catch-22. You can't get a job without tools but you have any money cuz you don't have a job to buy the tools. So how do I get the tools to be competitive? You got to have tools no matter if it's from a whatever you do if it's a if your account is going to have a count tools pens pencils if you're a lawyer going to you got to have tools so, how'd you get them? I went through Christmas. They have a a non-profit. I don't know the exact just of it, but I know that Emily.

26:48 Asked me what I would be needing and they proceeded to get me online and order these tools through a a provider.

27:01 And it took a couple months but it started coming in and I had to fill out a little bit of paperwork and be patient, but it all the tools that I ordered. I was like, wow, it was like overwhelming I could not I was like Christmas time all over skin and Ice toes tools. I use every single day. I didn't try to not I tried to get the tools. I be the most common tools which were provided and to this day this morning I use them. That's that's awesome. It's it's this fun call to pass it along fund and we have access to the Chrysalis to help some of our clients that need that last thing to be able to get a job like tools perfect use for it. And so it sounds like for you it made a huge difference difference. Just a little bit about how you got the job at solar universe.

27:54 That's funny. I got out of school out of to get solar certified to homeboys and I got a really good job filling wage job $45 an hour and my boss was one of the biggest jerks I've ever met.

28:12 It didn't work out has serious money, but serious headaches headaches. I wasn't happy there. So I walked off the job after we had our words. I walked off the job in pretty upset and I'm driving down the 405 freeway and I see this solar universe and go by me and I'm like cool. So I guess I'm going out to my mom and dad's house. I just so happen to have my resume. I got from Christmas that you know, I kept like 20 of money all the time. Like I got it on the 118 freeway and I was on the 118 freeway anyway, so he got the soda and I don't know what made me clicked into following that van the guys I was probably crazy a stalker some guys. I don't know if there's people in this world that do some crazy stuff but

29:03 I pulled him over and proceeded to say hey you guys hiring and he stopped and rolled down his window. He was gas matter fact. We are at that point my life. I thought he was an installer. I didn't know he was a co-president of solar Universe now my boss and a big blessing in my life, and I'm

29:21 She pulled over and we chopped up for a few minutes and I gave my resume and off you went and off. I went I didn't think nothing of it. He had to be a card and I looked at it and a couple days later. I was like wow, so I called him and try to get interview. It's all okay. This is what you call a few times. How about next Wednesday next Wednesday? Because I'm really business. I'm really really busy this week. So next Wednesday at 10. What was Tuesday? So next Wednesday the next day I went in there and proceeded to just you know, when I want a job I wanted

29:59 I talked to Natalie. Our account was she's Another Blessing. That means she's just like

30:06 Super super lady in our office her and Haley, and I'm

30:12 I just

30:14 Went in there and nailed. It used all my coping skills and what I knew from school and what I learned a chrysalis and was persistent kept calling him bugging him and bugging finally I got and if you with my boss and I laid all my cards on the table. My conviction is my everything, you know, everything that I had two negative that I had put in my past I had to bring it all back out again.

30:40 I got it from the interview and said, okay. Thank you. I was getting ready to see you later. You know, I didn't think he's going to hire me cuz I'll wait a minute told me I'm going to give you a chance and there was like

30:50 I was like, wow, really? You know, when was the last time somebody taking a chance on you?

30:59 My mom and dad

31:00 Again, after many chances I ruining my mom and dad.

31:05 There's a pretty good dude. Pretty big deal for this guy that essentially you stalked on the freeway. Yeah, but you pursued it. I mean you really wanted to make this thing happen and you pursued it my boss told me we had a ribbon-cutting any Jimmy pulled me off the side of the road and was very persistent about getting this job. That's how I got that job Chrysalis taught me to do that. I never in my wildest dreams. I never do that, but I wanted that job and then I'll be there for the rest of my life God willingly, you know, if that's where I'm going to be at. I can be at a better place a better company.

31:49 He's more than fairies more than honest and you don't and what kind of work do you do for him? Now? You've been there a year just over here. And now I measure eye and supervisor and you name it. I do it I pulled I'll I get there in the morning. I empty the trash has and I stay humble and I'm a manager now. I just got to buy month salary now. It's no more hourly wage stuff. I get a set rate every every paycheck and it's just awesome. It's

32:25 I never thought I would be at and I wouldn't be at where I'm at today. If it wasn't for the steps. I took at the places. I've been like Christmas like home boys like Santa Monica Pier foundation and I owe it all to God and the people in my life today. We don't forget to give yourself a little credit. I mean, there's a lots of people that had the opportunity to take the steps and they don't they don't for whatever reason and you chose to do it and you had to drive to do it and look at where we are today. So it's okay to give yourself a pat on the back. It's going to get better better ways. I know it's going to get better. You said you have goals and Visions for where you want to be in the future talk to us a little bit about that one of the goals.

33:11 To get find another lovely lady in my life cuz I'm going I went through a separation. That's it was just file everything about it. And I have a beautiful couple beautiful boys have a daughter. I'd like to see much more of all of them and be in a position where I can invite him into my house and and they could come and go if you mean if they prefer to do so a new truck is in the makings like vary within my reach now actually

33:42 And I was just a lot of little bit of traveling and maybe Branch off of this business. If you know my boss was too we're getting big we're getting big so fast solar is the biggest industry. And as far as I'm concerned right now that is growing so big that we can have to expand.

34:04 Hopefully one of these days I'll be in a position to say what he'll say. Let's Branch out and and be another Branch be what he is. I want to be like my boss won't be like my dad. I want to own businesses and put solar on everybody's house or company business. That's just a dream. Maybe not a dream. Maybe a go-go sound like pretty attainable for you. Give him where you've been and what you've overcome a little steps. So get me where I want to be pretty soon. So you mentioned your dad and I know you did mention that you lost your your mom a few years ago you reconnected with your dad. Yes. Let's talk about that relationship little bit was that mean to you too meme connecting again? It is just off the charge my dad. He's a blessing. He's super intelligent.

34:54 He's my inspiration.

34:57 He's been there and seen just about everything that there is to see he's getting up there in age right now, and I instead of

35:07 Arguing with them in and and fighting with them. I now listen to him and

35:13 It's been a little bit late for him to be able to fold me, but

35:17 I'm moldable. I'm still teachable very teachable. Do you guys ever talk about what it was like growing up and what you are they was at like a that's that was then we're not even we don't need to go there, even important. It is thrown up in situations if I make harsh decisions like I want to go out by a Harley and he's like, no you don't it's not the time and I'm like, well, I'll just re Belle and leave for a couple days and then I'll think about it. I'll talk to God about it and either

35:53 He's usually right and I just have to be to be not all the time, but I get to be right once in a while and I just got to realize it's not my way of doing things all the time. I got to put it in a higher, you know, my higher Powers, you know, when it's time for me to get a bike present itself. I thought it was time because it was reasonably, you know, I could I thought I could afford right then.

36:20 You know, there's something else that needs to be addressed, you know, which I don't know what it is yet, but it's going to be coming from sure.

36:28 So and when you when you think about the relationship you had grown up with your with your folks. You got your own kids and how does that how does that inform the way you want to be is a dad for them?

36:45 There's in some stages of my life in some decisions in my life. I wouldn't I don't my dad's a great man. He always be a great man of my eyes. We've all made mistakes in our on my behalf I made.

37:00 Plenty of mistakes, but I am

37:02 I want to support my kids more.

37:07 Then showing them try later showing them trades. I I mean I my dad's taking me on vacation before I moved it all the father-son things that we're supposed to do when I was young and even to this day we will be no. I don't think I

37:27 It would change anything except for maybe.

37:32 I just

37:34 Teaching them out of

37:36 BM I don't know what I change it that's tough question. I don't know. I think I've maybe just probably be safe and say I'd leave it too busy with my dad. This is this how often do you see your your kids every weekend my exes?

38:04 To put it mildly.

38:10 Anyway, my kids I can see anywhere. I want anytime I want basically and that's awesome that I do get to see him at the bus and that I do have him in my life and you got a deal of where now will my mom and dad are they travel six months out of the year. They come over to California for 3 months and then they go to Texas for 3 months and then leave again for Texas. So they're out of town. Of State for 6 months out of the year. So at the present moment I'm staying at my mother's and father's but I'm like just saving saving saving saving. I've been there for 8 months, I believe and I

38:49 They've been gone six months of it. So I basically got their house house sitting for him and

38:56 I just taking it Taking a day at a time and

39:01 They're coming back this week. And it's time to take go to another level take it to a whole nother level get my own place and

39:11 Well, it sounds like you're on an amazing path. That is so different from where you were a few years ago. I mean, it really warms my heart to know that we were small part in getting you to where you are. And I really thank you for taking the time to take time off of work and your boss didn't call you which was good while we were talking but it's really important to me that to hear the story and how do you share that because it it fills me with a lot of energy to do the work that I do with the next set of Jimmy's that are coming through a program. So thanks for being is open and honest and and being willing to to do this. Yeah. Thank you for helping me and I want to thank Christmas Clare Foundation my family.

39:56 God first God everybody else. I forgot you know he her.

40:03 Great.
