Description

I recorded this interview for the National Day of Listening back in November of 2010. In October of 2015, Dee Wilhoit was diagnosed with stage IV cancer, and she passed away in May of 2016 at the age of 55. One of the legacies my mother left to me and my brother was her intense love and passion for music. I wanted to share a small part of that legacy with the world. In this interview, she talks about the first albums she purchased, meeting the Monkees, and working as a disc jockey in the 1980s, among other stories.
