Addison K. Groff, a retired minister who was born in 1919 in Rochester, NY, but spent most of his adolescence in Boonsboro, Maryland, is interviewed by his grandson, Edwin Groff on November 25, 2017. He lived through some of the most fascinating events in American and world history, and reflects on them in this conversation. From the Great Depression (2:40 - 4:20; 5:40 - 6:30) in the 1930’s, to World War II (4:25 - 5:40; 7:15 - 7:50) in the 1940’s, to race relations (1:20 - 1:45) when he was growing up, Addison’s recollections shine a valuable light on a complicated period of history.
