Doris C. Wie Osuorah, Registered Nurse:
I am from Liberia, West Africa. I fled my country during the Liberian civil war in 1990 and spent 3 years in the Buduburam refugee camp in Ghana. I arrived in the US in 1993 as a refugee and was relocated to Buffalo, New York, to my father, Paul Allen Wie.
I have been a nurse for over 24 years. I received my bachelor’s in nursing from the University of St. Catherine in 2003 and my MSN in nursing education from Adventist University in 2013 and 2023. In a few weeks, I will receive a Master of Science in Nursing as a nurse practitioner. Presently, DNP -candidate in Gerontology from the University of St Catherine, St. Paul, MN.

- 2008-2015 Certified Medical-Surgical / Trauma Nurse Prince Gorge’s Hospital Center in Maryland: bedside and charge
- 2008-2017 Sibley Memorial Hospital John Hopkins, Washington, D.C – Charge Nurse /bedside nurse

2021- Work as a Travel Nurse at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota
- I am a float nurse in medical and surgical units, ICU, and ER med/surgery/tele overflow.
I have also volunteered as a post-anesthesia nurse with Children's Surgery International in Minnesota since 2008. I have been fortunate to volunteer in Vietnam, Peru, and a few times in Liberia
