Born into a caring and hardworking family of six, Shelly reminisces on her working, learning, camping, and playing experiences that solidified her young identity. Later, Shelly explains how her own self motivation and experiences pushed her to fufill her calling of caring for children, informing her outlook on life today. Throughout, Shelly speaks about the bond that Judaism has served in tying generation to generation throughout her family's history, from Eastern Europe to Detroit to Cleveland, Ohio.
