Subject Log / Time Code

EG reflects on the time when the pandemic first began.
“We’ve never gone through a pandemic before, in all my years as an educator I’ve never faced anything like that,” says BH.
“It was a like a really bad snow storm that didn’t end,” EG says.
“We had to get very creative with the lesson plans,” BH says as she talks about the impact of virtual education on teaching.
“Children don’t understand social distancing. They don’t understand why they can’t have hugs or be right next to you,” BH says as they discuss and imagine what it will be like when classes will be in person again.
“All of us want it to be normal again, but what is normal?” EG states as they discuss the mask mandate being lifted in Mississippi.
