In this interview, conducted on November 28th, 2017 in Norfolk Collegiate School, Virginia, Claire Fornsel (almost sixty) tells her student Emma Lu (17) what was her childhood like and how she decided to be a teacher. Ms. Fornsel is known as the International Student Advisor in Norfolk Collegiate School, and a beloved teacher in Lower School. She said that she loved working as a teacher and she would keep doing it until the last few years of her life. Her passion for education originated from her childhood in New York, growing up with many siblings. She also talked about her early career in laboratories as one of the very few female scientific workers.
