Kathleen talks about her time at Boston College as a black woman in a predominantly white space, discussing her experiences and challenges, and contrasts her experience to those of Ta-Nehisi Coates as described in his book Between the World and Me. She also talks about being able to find solace and community in the African American Studies classes.
