UVA Students Kendall Stimart (19) from Leesburg, Virginia and Cole Rozwadowski (20) from Culpeper, Virginia recorded a One Small Step conversation as part of their course, 'Democracy and Public Service' as part of the Public Service Pathways Program. Their conversation focused on discussing their relationships with their hometown communities, their family dynamics, as well as how they have adjusted to and engaged with the University of Virginia and Charlottesville communities. Both Kendall and Cole had similarities in their family dynamics, even if their families' respective political ideologies differed. The impact that their families had in their formation of values and political consciousness were also similar.
