00:00 Hi, my name is Halle Segura. I'm 18 years old. Today is November 24th, and I'm speaking with Kim Schneider, who is my grandma, and we're recording in her house.

00:11 Okay.

00:12 So can you describe one of your happiest memories?

00:16 When I was back in 1971, when my parents were reading the Sunday newspaper and there came a picture of Walt Disney World that was going to open that summer. And we all got asked if we wanted to go and stay in that beautiful contemporary resort that was in the headlines of the newspaper. And we were all so excited about that, that we did go that summer. And ever since then, I've always gone back and taken my kids back to that same hotel.

00:44 Thank you. Can you tell me about someone you'll always remember?

00:49 Yes. I always remember my grandmother. That she used to babysit me all the time, and that she would take me to her house every Sunday night to sleep over, and she would cook for us. And as we. As I got older and had my children, she watched my children growing up, and we were always, like, close with each other. So I loved her cooking. Okay.

01:14 How did you meet Grandpa?

01:19 I met him through a program that I was doing in high school. I was selling strudel for one of my classes, and my mom worked at a hotel in Cleveland where he worked, so she was selling it for me. And she would come home and tell me this guy who was there would always buy all this strudel all the time. So I'm like, who is this guy? So she's like, well, why don't you come down to the hotel one day and I'll show you. So I'm like, all right. So I drove there one day, and he happened to be coming out of the elevator as I was going in with her to go up where she works. And that's how I met him. Okay.

01:59 Are there any childhood friends you want to tell me about?

02:03 I'm still friends with a girl that we were in first grade together, and we've always been friends since then. Our parents became friends, and now we're friends with her kids. She's friends with my kids, and now even with our grandchildren who are still in contact.

02:22 All right, thank you.
