Kung Fu and MingJian Dan: A Great Thanksgiving Listen

On November 26th, after a long Thanksgiving break, I interviewed MingJian Dan. He is an RTF student who is incredibly involved in Martial Arts. I met him three months ago. We both live in University Towers. I asked him about his biggest influences in life. He told me that those are Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan as they represent Chinese Kung Fu tradition. They also moved into America in order to find a better life. Then I asked about any advice he would give to his teenage self and he said “never tried Tai Quan Do” as it was a difficult and a drawback experience in martial arts. Finally, I asked him how he would like to be remembered. MingJian firmly answered he would like to be remembered as a Kung Fu leader for the new generations and a pioneer on bringing Kung Fu values back.
