If there is a worthwhile cause in the town of Saugerties, Lanny Walter will get involved. Emerging from an activist family, it was a natural move for him to become engaged in actions such as the Winston Farm Alliance whose efforts stopped an incinerator from being built in town, and the No Saugerties Casino group where he led the groups to successful outcomes. Lanny continues to work as an attorney and activist, and now chairs the Saugerties Democratic Party Committee, proving he is still up for a good challenge!
