UVA students Rebecca Skoler (22) from Boston, MA and Lillian Rojas (21) from Manassas, VA recorded a One Small Step conversation as part of their course Lead From Anywhere. During their conversation, they discussed their political ideologies and where those ideologies stemmed from. Specifically, they talked about the role of religion, education, sports, and environment in shaping one's political beliefs. A particular area of agreement was on how cancel culture harms society and how people with different political views can work across lines of difference to create a more understanding and empathetic society.
