Description

Dr. Linda Hadden is certified as both a pediatric and adult care nurse practitioner. She received
a master’s of science in Nursing and post-master’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification at
St. Kate’s , and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Minnesota.
She was an instrumental advocate for nurse practitioners in emergency care in the Twin Cities
metro area. She facilitated research and received the Abbott Northwestern Employee
Recognition in 1990 for the development of the FastTrack Model in the Emergency Department
to facilitate triage utilizing nurse practitioners. She has worked as a nurse practitioner at
Woodlake Clinic, Allina Health Neurosurgical Consultants, and in Palliative care at Unity
Hospital.
She has been a professor at St. Kates since 2015. At St. Kate’s she developed the Health
Assessment class and has recorded 13 educational videos which are the gold standard and still
used extensively throughout the School of Nursing.
She was married to Jim Hadden for 45 years, who was her love and inspiration. He passed away
in 2016 after a long battle with MS. Linda provided much of his nursing care and cared for him
tenderly. With her family they planted a tree in his honor on the Campus of St. Kate’s. She is
now happily married to Bob who is not only a wonderful person in his own right, and has often
volunteered his time to be the “patient” when she has taught health assessment at St. Kate’s.
