Subject Log / Time Code

Michelle Jadis (MJ) and Kevin Ross (KR) introduce themselves and talk about why they wanted to do this interview.
KR asks MJ what Conservative means to her. MJ describes herself as on the cusp of Libertarian (with regard to taxes, property) and explains favoring small government. KR doesn't call himself a Liberal, but applies that lens to social and environmental issues. Doesn't like solutions Democrats put forward.
MJ and KR read each other's bios. MR shares about her very physical life until her knee gave out, reminisces about the importance of a recent trip to New York City, where KR lived and shares stories from his time there.
KR shares about standup comedy, MJ asks about this and his work as a video editor.
Participants share their biggest influences on their beliefs. KR talks about one friend who helped him learn how to "think well" and his mother on how to live and age well. MJ references someone she knows who has been in and out of jails, prisons, and halfway houses. She also talks about her brother as someone who never falters.
KR talks about personal political values and wanting people to flourish. MJ thinks politics matters more locally, less federally.
KR and MJ share their hopes for the future
