Description

Gillian (18) discusses her childhood memories with her mother, Stephanie (39). Gillian talks about her achievements and experiences with God. Stephanie had prepared this final question for the interview, “if this were to be our very last conversation, is there anything you would want to say to me?” However, her daughter chose not to answer verbally. Instead, Gillian wrote this response, “I don’t necessarily feel comfortable talking about or answering this question verbally. I truthfully could not fathom ever losing you, and it causes really bad anxiety to even think about. Just the other day, I was telling you how I was crying in the shower because the devil put the thought in my head that one day, I’ll eventually lose you. And life is too short for me to spend time worrying about it. That is my biggest fear and the literal worst thing to think about... I love you.”
