Pamela “Pam” Larson (P) and Nathaniel “Nate” Fuller (N) describe how they got involved in working with Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy (SWMLC). N talks about how extensive and involved his interview process for the steward specialist position was.
P explains that she was the first full-time employee of SWMLC. She paints a picture of what the early days of the organization were like.
N describes how stewardship was a part of SWMLC's DNA, unlike other land trusts at the time. N explains that over the course of his career more land trusts began to grow their stewardship.
P says she eventually became the Director of Communications at SWMLC and loved working with people. N explains how the organization changed and grew its staff over time.
P says she is most proud that she left SWMLC with a clean database. She adds that she is also proud of what she's learned from the field. P and N say learning about the natural world makes it impossible to look at the world in the same way.
P and N talks about working with Amelia Hansen (A) as an illustrator.
