Recollections of Sister Sheila O’Brien and Sister Marypat Murphy

Description

Interview with two Sisters of Mercy about their time at Salve Regina. Sister Sheila O'Brien served as University Archivist and Dean of Women, and after served as a member of the Board of Trustees. Sister Marypat Murphy attended Salve Regina as both a layperson and a Sister of Mercy, and serves on the Board of Trustees at the time of the interview. Topics discussed include student protests during the 1960s and 70s, Salve Regina traditions, and the importance of the Sisters' of Mercy core beliefs to the University.
