Rhonda Chandler (R) shares how Lovin' the Skin I'm In came to be. She recounts noticing behavioral changes in her children when they moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin and were suddenly a minority in their community.
Ingrid Parker-Hill (I) and Tia Sirmans (T) talk about what drew them to Lovin' the Skin I'm In.
T says talks about Lovin' the Skin I'm In's desire to help young black girls feel seen and valued.
I says she has grandkids in the area and does not want them to feel like they have to choose parts of their identity over others.

T remembers school shopping with her son and being cautious of her son being profiled.
T said during the pandemic and the murder of George Floyd, she was nervous about letting her son ride his bike around the neighborhood.
I says though progress with racism has been made, there is still a lot of work to do.
