Description

One morning, Richard McCarty found himself singing to a dead man with a similar taste in music.

Rich has spent years traveling the country with his instruments, playing at bars, clubs, and on the streets. After returning home, a family friend offered him a gig that he claims is more interesting than any other gig he’s done on the road.

But at this gig, there were no screaming fans or loud applause; there were somber friends and family members hoping to hear some banjo.

After prayers and family messages during the funeral, all eyes were on Rich. The son of the deceased father gives him a nudge and says, “start playing!”
