Description

USMC veteran, Andre Navarro recounts the events leading to his decision to join the marine corps. His responsibilities included O431 logistics. This meant that he was in charge of making sure that divisions worth of military equipment were ready to deploy at a moments notice. Through the Marine corps and the responsibility of his job, Navarro gained a sense of responsibility and duty, which he carries to this day. As a result, the lack of commitment and follow through in the civilian population has starkly contrasted with his views. More globally, it is hard for servicemen and women to re assimilate into civilian life because servicemen are used to a higher standard of rigor. To put it in his words, "If you say something, you have to do it"
