Description

Theresa Lamberson’s Bio

I began my nursing career in June 2007 working in the Transitional Care Unit (TCU) at Sholom Home in St. Paul- I had worked there throughout nursing school and loved the geriatric population. I left the TCU and started at HealthPartners in August 2007 and worked in their primary care clinics over the next eight years- the hours were more family-friendly, and the benefits couldn’t be beat. During that time, I was deployed with the MN Air National Guard to Ramstein Air Base as an Aeromedical Evacuation Flight Nurse in 2012. When I returned in 2013, I experienced so much as a flight nurse that I was looking for a change, so I transitioned to the Neuroscience department with HealthPartners. I floated through Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehab but mostly worked in Interventional Pain Management before being deployed to Ramstein Air Base in 2015. After returning from this deployment, I was ready to hang up my flight nurse job despite my love for the mission and my unique experiences as a flight nurse. I returned to HealthPartners primary care in Woodbury and stayed another four years. During my years with HealthPartners, I met nurses who had worked in hospice, and I was curious about their work. After my grandmother passed away on hospice in April 2019, I decided to join the hospice group. I joined HealthPartners Hospice in June 2019 and found my true calling as a nurse. I moved into Community-based Palliative Care in August 2023 to accommodate my graduate studies schedule yet stay near the hospice group. I aim to work as a Palliative Care and Hospice Nurse Practitioner when I finish my Doctorate.
