Mary Sloper (78) talks to Shawn Sorbom (28) about going to boarding school at age 5 in Imperial Valley, Californiia, her Croatian mother, and her career as a nurse.
Evaine Kirkland (21) and his mother Tara Kirkland-Rainey (61) talk about becoming an adopted family and how Evaine's life has changed.
My mom is a person who has lived and learned a lot for somebody her age. Growing up in Raymondville, Texas, the customs that were taught to her helped shaped her, and even me, into the person she is today....
My mother, 47, recalls her childhold from the age of 5. Her perserverance through her struggles with her biological family and foster families. How she would change some things if she could but wouldn't at the same time.
For a school project we had to interview someone in our lives and I choose my mom, so this is that a whole 45 minuets of a child and a mother learning more about one another!
I made this recording of my mom and I to share how she felt about her life and what was most important to her and what she has learned
We talked about her life growing up, what her family was like, and what my mom was like growing up.
