In this interview my mother, Maria Paredes, tells stories about her hometown, her rebellious childhood, happiest memories, and biggest regrets, as well as what it was like coming to the United States as an immigrant.
I ask my mom a series of questions about her life. As well as how she was like. A few sad and happy moments. As well as how she feels about us.
The story of how my mom got here in the first place. What goes on in her life
“He taught me how to be happy” Tegan Blanchard interviewed his friend’s mom Sylvia Roji in December 2017. She describes what it is like to grow up in Mexico, and how the people around her affected who she is today.
Jesus Blanco(15) talks with his mom, Maria (49), about her life and their family history.
I interviewed my mom Fiona, and she revealed some interesting (and maybe even disturbing) facts about my family, her step father who will always be her hero, and what she wants for me in the future.
Part one of two: Maria sits down with Alison and translator Kaitlyn to talk about family, her move to Richmond, and ways she believes we can incorporate more Mexican culture into the town she has grown to love and appreciate!
