Claire lost her mother at a relatively young age to tuberculosis. She was left to care for her younger sister which led to a life long close relationship into adulthood.

Our interview centered around family and faith. This included stories about my grandfather’s childhood, stories about his children and grandchildren, and stories from his time in service.
