I had the great opportunity to interview Ernest Soto-Cruz (age 54). Ernest is my father whom I am very proud of. Today we talked about his experience in the military and how it effect it in the long run.
We talked about his parents, future of the country, memories, what he is thankful for, family traditions, the military, advice to his younger self, and proudest moments. We also talked about his childhood and his profession as a physicist.
My dad tells the story of being drafted during Vietnam with a young family, and of his sports career in Germany that resulted.
We talked about Kurt’s childhood and early role models that influenced him to join the Coast Guard. (Don’t mind the last few seconds I thought the recording had stopped)
Interviewing my amazing wife about the time we lost when I served in the Army.
We talked about where my grandfather grew up and his childhood and adulthood. We also talked about his life in the army and his life as grandfather.
