In this interview, conducted in November 2018 in Simi Valley, CA, Kyle Fukumoto (13) interviews his maternal grandma, Judy Freel (82) about her life experiences. She details her childhood in Seattle, and talks about raising Michele, Kyle’s mom.
My step grandmother (Katie Wilhelm, I call her Teeta haha) and I talked about her family and travels throughout her life so far, including her Dad who served in World War 2.

She talked about her personal experiences and how did American dream affect her to have a thankful heart. She also talked about the people she wanted to thank to.
Me and my grandfather talked about his childhood and how he grew up. We also mentioned his time in the military and how it was significant in his life.
We talked about my mom and significant events in my grandma's life. My grandma also gave some words of wisdom to her great great grandchildren.
