I interviewed my grandmom for my Service Project.

Interviewing my nanny

We talked about her grandmothers influence over my grandmothers life and the impact of her grandchildren. We also discussed her child hood and what it was like growing up.

In this interview, I, Kiara Mejia, ask my grandmother, Gladys Paniagua, what her life was like in the Dominican Republic. From there, we talk about her transition to the United States and what she still hopes for in her life.

I did this interview as an assignment for my English class, but I really enjoyed the whole process of talking to my “Grandmama” and and bringing joy to her day!

Sometimes life does not go as planned, so expect change. This video talks about growing up, becoming an educator, and then watching your family change throughout the years.

I asked her about her memories with her Grandma. We also talk about what she wants me and my sisters to know.
