Having children

A son, born in Africa to American parents who had been in the Peace Corps, recount stories of a childhood in Africa, and life in a multiracial family.

My mother and I talked about how her growing up with older siblings and how when she was born they were already grown up and in college. We also talked about her dance life and which schools she went to.

We talked about Margaret’s life and how proud she is of her children and her students. She shared how she would like to be remembered for her love of life. She shared happy moments and sad ones.
