In this interview, conducted in December 2017 in Palmdale, California Angelica Ruiz talked about how she met my dad. Also about what it was like having me, how I’ve changed her and what she’d do differently.
Interviewing my grandmother, Elisabetta, who immigrated from Italy to America with 8 children and one on the way.
We talked about her childhood, her friend Micky who taught her a lot in her life, and how she celebrated Thanksgiving as a kid.
Talked about being a parent and raising children. As well as how life was growing up in Vietnam and how it compares to the United States. Lastly we conversed about hopes for me and my siblings in the future.
Today I was with my grandma and we talked her childhood and her life. I really enjoyed it because it got to hear some answers that I have never heard before.
In my interview I was able to discuss all my moments and memories of my mother’s life.
What we talked about was the perceptions my father had in life and the knowledge he gained throughout life. Also we talked about his childhood and where he grew up
I asked my mother a few questions. Some including what her nickname was growing up, what it was like when she found out she was pregnant with me, and how she met my stepdad.
She was born and raised in Texas, and is very close to her family, she is great full for what god has given her.
